Bicycles and MTDs
This resource is for students, faculty, staff, and visitors who bike or use Micromobility Transportation Devices (MTDs) on campus.
Bicycles & MTDs on Campus
All bicycles and MTDs on the University of Mississippi Oxford Campus are required to obtain an annual bicycle/MTD permit.
- Registration is free and the registration is good for at least four years.
- You must register your bike or MTD in person at the Ole Miss Bike Shop located across the street from the Turner Center, or at the Department of Parking and Transportation main offices.
- Please have your serial number, make, model, color and personal information available before you register.
Bicycle/MTD Registration Information
Why is registration required?
Mandatory registration helps the University gather data to determine if there are adequate services like bike racks and locations, on campus bike/MTD routes and other related amenities. Registration is also the best way to help recover a bicycle or MTD in the event it is lost or stolen.
Visitor Registration
Visitors that frequent the University Campus between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday are still required to obtain a permit/decal for their bicycles/MTDs. Unlike visitors in cars, the decal is good for a four year period. Visitors must register bicycles/MTDs in person at the Ole Miss Bike Shop located across the street from the Turner Center, or at the Department of Parking and Transportation main offices. Please have your serial number, make, model, color and personal information available before you register.
